Invest In Your Health Indiana, your employee wellness program, along with our partners at Anthem and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are excited to host the 2026 Run The State 5K and Hike series for employees and family members!

You are invited to attend the Run the State 5K & Hike at Charlestown State Park on Saturday, October 3! Celebrate the park's 30th anniversary and sign up for a 5K or hike.

You can sign up by clicking the "register" link above and select the 5K Run/Walk or Hike. For the 5K everyone is encouraged to participate at their own pace, so run or walk your way to the finish line.  Join fellow state employees who are making the commitment to get out and get moving.

5K Logistics

• Check-in location: Shelter area
• 5K check-in: 7:15 a.m. to 7:55 a.m. (ET)
• 5K start time: 8:00 a.m. (ET)
• 5K Route: 5K Course Trail - A 3.1 mile loop that follows 8 foot wide mowed trails.

Hike #1 Logistics

• Check-in location: Shelter area
• Check-in: 8:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. (ET)
• Start time: 9:00 a.m. (ET)
• Hike route: Trail 2

Hike #2 Logistics

• Check-in location: Shelter area
• Check-in: 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. (ET)
• Start time: 1:00 p.m. (ET)
• Hike route: Rose Island. 1.5-2 hour hike.
