This 2-hour class is geared towards anglers looking to get started targeting bass. Participants will learn about basic bass behavior, how to select the right equipment for given conditions, and how to use that equipment to catch more bass.
After the 1-hour instructional portion, participants will spend 1-hour fishing and practicing skills with DNR staff. All equipment will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own gear to learn with if they have it.
Register to attend this free event. The class size is limited to 10 participants. REGISTRATION IS FULL AS OF APRIL 3.
The class will be held by the fishing pier at 450 Meadow Lane, Carmel, IN 46032 at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The class is open to ages 10+, however any participants under the age of 16 must have an adult guardian to take the class with. The class is fast paced and meant primarily for an adult audience, so participants bringing children may need to assist their child during the class.
A 2024 Indiana fishing license is required for participants 18 years and older. Fishing licenses can be purchased online at on.IN.gov/fishinglicense.
