About this Event
View map Free EventBats, bats, and more bats! Join us at Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area Visitors Center at 8:00 PM ET to talk about bats, eat some yummy brownies, and get the chance to find these flying critters.
Enjoy a delicious treat while we learn about bat adaptations, challenges these animals face, and the many ways they benefit humans. There’s a chance you’ll even get to experience echolocating firsthand!
This is a great opportunity for all ages and all are welcome.
We anticipate being outside for part of the evening to look for bats, so participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a flashlight.
DNR values inclusion and access for all participants and will provide reasonable accommodations for this event. Please contact Ethan Plumier at [email protected] or 812-512-9159 to make an accommodation request. Requests must be submitted by June 19.
