https://on.in.gov/learn2fishThis 2-hour class is geared towards anglers looking to get started targeting catfish. Participants will learn about basic catfish behavior, how to select the right equipment for given conditions, and how to use that equipment to catch more catfish. After a 1-hour instructional portion, participants will spend 1-hour fishing and practicing skills with DNR staff.
Register to attend this free event. The class size is limited to 10 participants.
The class will be held by the water at Garvin Park, North Main Street & Bob Griese Pass, Evansville, IN 47711 at 1 p.m. CT.
* All equipment will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own gear to learn with, if they have it.
* A 2024 Indiana fishing license is required for participants 18 years and older. Fishing licenses can be purchased at a local retailer or online at on.IN.gov/fishinglicense.
* The class is open to ages 10+, however any participants under the age of 16 must have an adult guardian to take the class with. The class is fast paced and meant primarily for an adult audience, so participants bringing children may need to assist their child during the class.
Note: Garvin Park is in the Central time zone. This event starts at 1 p.m. CT.
