Flying WILD is a bird-focused curriculum targeted for grades 5-8, but can be adapted for other grade levels.

The Tippecanoe Audubon Society will be hosting this free workshop at 10 a.m. ET at the Koinonia Environmental Center located in Pierceton, IN. The workshop will teach participants practical hands-on classroom and outdoor experiences that connect bird biology, conservation, and natural history.

Register to attend this free workshop at https://www.tippeaudubon.org/workshops. Every educator who completes the workshop will leave with a curriculum guide full of activities and other resources from the Tippecanoe Audubon Society to help educate about birds.

All are welcome to learn these education tools including classroom teachers, pre-service teachers, non-formal educators, and children/youth leaders. PGP (Professional Growth Plan) points are available for classroom teachers.

Contact Amanda Heltzel of the Tippicanoe Audubon Society at [email protected] with any questions about the workshop.

Project WILD is the national parent program for Flying WILD. Project WET and Project WILD are programs of the DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife and Division of Nature Preserves. The workshop is sponsored by Tippecanoe Audubon Society.
