Willow Slough Fish & Wildlife Area staff will be hosting an open meeting at 6:30 p.m. CT to wrap up the renovation project on J. C. Murphey Lake.

The meeting will be held at the Newton County Government Center, 4117 S 240 W, Morocco, IN 47963.

J. C. Murphey lake requires periodic renovations to maintain habitat for the maximum number of species and provide recreational opportunities. The meeting will provide an opportunity to talk about the improvements that have been made and the intended management strategies for the lake.  All are welcome to come by and hear the latest updates on J. C. Murphey Lake and ask their questions.

The meeting will include a presentation from the property staff and fisheries staff and a Q&A session to address any questions or concerns.
