 icah Beckwith and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs today 
 announced four Indiana communities will receive $1\,550\,000 in Owner Occu
 pied Rehabilitation grants. The grants will be used to empower communities
  to directly fund homeowners of low-to-moderate income to make needed repa
 irs on their homes.\n\n\n"These grants are about more than just fixing hom
 es — they’re about strengthening communities\,” Lieutenant Governor 
 Beckwith said. “When we take care of the small things\, like repairing r
 oofs or upgrading heating systems\, we’re sending a message that every h
 ome and every family matters. This approach helps prevent larger issues do
 wn the road and fosters pride and stability in our neighborhoods. By empow
 ering homeowners to make these repairs\, we’re investing in the future o
 f Indiana and preserving the values that make our state great.”\n\n\nCom
 munities awarded an OOR grant will establish a program to help fund low- a
 nd moderate-income homeowners make repairs on their homes. Eligible repair
 s include roof repair or replacement\, ADA accessibility\, heating and coo
 ling replacement\, lighting and electrical upgrades\, and water heater rep
 lacement.\n\nOOR grants are awarded to the following communities: \n\nThe 
 City of Franklin is awarded $350\,000The City of Greensburg is awarded $35
 0\,000The City of Union City is awarded $350\,000Huntington County is awar
 ded $500\,000"The Owner Occupied Rehabilitation grant program can be cruci
 al for homeowners who may need extra support from their community in order
  to make needed improvements to maintain their safety in their home\,” s
