Are you interested in learning how to hunt, but don’t know where to start? Join the National Wild Turkey Federation and Indiana DNR for an Adult Mentored Pheasant Hunt at Pigeon River FWA on Dec. 7, 2025, starting at 8 a.m. This event is intended for new hunters, and will include an upland hunting safety, sporting clays practice, a mentored pheasant hunt with trained mentors, and a demonstration and hands-on practice on how to clean your harvested birds. Participants should bring their own lunch. Feel free to bring your own firearms, but ammunition and firearms will be available for use as well. There is a cost of $20 dollars for participants, and registration is limited to 10 hunters, so sign up now!

Following registration, applicants will recieve an email detailing next steps for enrollment and payment.
