Appellant-Defendant Christian Triblet was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.  On interlocutory appeal, Triblet contends that the trial court abused its discretion in denying his motion to suppress evidence.  Triblet argues that the officer’s search was unjustified, and therefore violates the United States Constitution and our state’s constitution.  For its part, the State argues that the officer was justified in relying partially on Triblet’s criminal history and prior charges when determining if he presented a threat to officer safety.

The scheduled panel members are Chief Judge Bradford and Judges Kirsch and May.
