The Court of Appeals is accepting applications for the 2021 Carr L. Darden Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) Summer Law Internship. The CLEO program assists low-income or educationally disadvantaged law students in Indiana in earning their degrees and pursuing legal careers. This internship is a 10-week, paid internship during which first- or second-year law students work closely with Court of Appeals judges to gain hands-on experience working with Court cases.

Students interested in applying should send a resume, two letters of recommendation, a writing sample, and, if applicable, a certification from their law school that they are eligible to participate in the CLEO program to the Court Administrator:

Larry L. Morris, Court Administrator
Court of Appeals of Indiana
Suite 1080, South Tower
115 West Washington Street
Indianapolis, IN 46204

Preference will be given to those who are certified by their law schools as eligible to participate in the CLEO program.

Applications must be submitted by March 12, 2021. The program runs May 10, 2021, through July 16, 2021.

For more information view the CLEO Summer Law Internship brochure.
