London Witte Group, LLC (“LWG”) and the City of Marion (“the City”) have been engaged in litigation relating to the financing of a construction project in downtown Marion since September 29, 2017.  In the instant appeal, which follows a jury trial, LWG contends that the trial court abused its discretion in denying its motions for a directed verdict and its subsequent motion to correct error.  LWG alternatively contends that the jury’s verdict is excessive.  For its part, the City contends that the trial court acted within its discretion in denying LWG’s motions and that the jury’s verdict is supported by the evidence.
