 ry penny counts\, Attorney General Todd Rokita announced today that his off
 ice will actively monitor fuel prices across the state to prevent price gou
 ging and ensure drivers receive the full benefit of the relief following th
 e temporary suspension of Indiana’s gas tax.\n\nRead his full statement bel
 ow:\n\n“With the suspension of Indiana’s gas tax for the next 30 days\, my 
 office will closely monitor fuel prices to guard against any potential pric
 e gouging.\n \n"Hoosiers deserve the full relief intended by this emergency
  measure and we will use every tool allowed by the General Assembly to ensu
 re that the removal of the tax translates into lower prices at the pump — a
 nd that consumers are not taken advantage of during this time.\n\n"If a con
 sumer suspects that a gas station in Indiana is still charging tax during t
 he suspension\, they should file a consumer complaint with our office."\n\n
