DESCRIPTION:Join Indiana DNR for this basic deer processing workshop on Sep
 t. 15 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. ET at the John S Wright Center in West Lafaye
 tte. Learning how to process your own deer can increase your independence 
 as an outdoorsperson\, allows you to get more out of your harvest\, and cr
 eates opportunities for community-building centered around sharing lean\, 
 locally sourced venison. Whether you're an aspiring deer hunter\, a newbie
  wild game chef\, or an experienced outdoorsperson looking for ways to pro
 cess a deer you harvest\, we look forward to seeing you! This event is in 
 partnership with Purdue Extension.\n\nThis adult-oriented (16+) workshop w
 ill cover how to safely and effectively break down a deer and remove meat 
 from the carcass\, allowing you to take your deer meat from field to fork.
  Participants will receive guidance on how to remove the hide\, quarter th
 e animal\, and make usable cuts of meat. This course will include both dem
 onstrations and hands-on practice so please come prepared to get involved.
 \n\nThis course will be held both indoors and outdoors. Participants shoul
 d dress appropriately for the weather and can expect to be standing for mo
 st of the class. For health and safety reasons\, pants and closed-toe shoe
 s are required. Please refrain from bringing your own wild game to process
 .  \n\nRegistration is required to attend. There will be a small $10 dolla
 r fee for this event\, which will be charged at the door. See you there! \
