Learn to Hunt workshops are species-specific multi-day workshop series tailored to new hunters or those interested in learning about hunting. This workshop will contain the classroom, range, and hunt portion, and is open to men and women who have little to no experience in pheasant hunting, ages 16 and up.

During the classroom portion, participants will become familiar with:

• Indiana pheasant hunting laws
• Basic pheasant biology
• Methods and strategies for hunting pheasant
• Recommend equipment for pheasant hunting
• Where to hunt pheasant

The range portion will be conducted at the Pigeon River FWA shooting range. Guns and ammo will be provided but it is recommended that you bring your own. Firearms instructors will be present.

The hunt portion will be conducted on Pigeon River FWA. Come prepared to be exposed to the elements and to walk through brush (closed toes boots, jeans, or briar pants).

The cost to attend this combined classroom, range, and hunt session is $10.
