Join us for a twist on a tried and true favorite! Birds & Beans, 2024!

We're hosting our first ever CHILI COOK-OFF in the morning, tasting and voting around NOON, awards by 1:30 pm Central time.  Taste the chili and vote for a people's choice ($1= 1 vote), plus, there will be a trophy winner based on our judges.  You can still enter! Call the park office with your informatiton and we will have a cooking place for you! Then around 2 pm  We'll meet members of the Indiana Falconer's Association and learn what it takes to be granted permission to hunt in this old style of falconry. We'll also get up close and personal with the hunters and learn about the different birds used for hunting in Indiana.  Great family fun!  Find this event at the Outdoor Education Pavilion/Nature Center area in the campground.  People of all ages are welcome, please limit pets because of the birds and the large crowd this event usually draws on a fair weather day.
