Park After Dark Halloween Hike: After the sun goes down, the park comes to life. Explore our exciting new trail full of candy stops, interpretive stations, and more! Hike the trail anytime between 6pm and 9pm. The hike starts at the Nature Center, but we ask campers remain parked at their campsites and walk to the trail access at the beginning of Taylor Ridge Campground. This trail is great for all ages and is stroller friendly. Bring a headlamp or flashlight for a complete experience.

Pumpkin Carving Contest: Bring your carved pumpkin to the Brown County State Park Nature Center by 4pm on Saturday, October 22nd. Pumpkins will be judged and placed on our Park After Dark Halloween Hiking Trail. Carving must be done on your own, please bring your own tools and pumpkin! You may pick up your judged pumpkin and any earned prizes at the Nature Center on Sunday, October 23rd.

Campsite Decorating Contest: Register for our campsite decorating contest as you check-in to your campsite at the campground booth. Decorate your site to your liking, but do not put nails in trees or park equipment, dig holes, or paint anything. Judges will tour the campground after dark on the 22nd to judge registered sites. Prizes will be delivered to winning campsites after judging is completed. Please make sure you take everything home with you and leave your site clean and suitable for the next guest.
