Join the Indiana DNR DIvision of Nature Preserves for a free guided hike at the Calli Nature Preserve. Registration is limited to 40 people.

Directions: From North Vernon, take US 50 east for just under 1.0 mile to the bridge over the Vernon Fork of the Muscatatuck River. Just after crossing the bridge there is a gravel road on the right. Turn onto the gravel road and follow it to the parking lot, which will be on the left. The two mile trail begins from the parking lot.

This tract contains high-quality limestone cliffs, waterfalls, mesic and dry-mesic upland forests, the latter containing a large eastern hemlock stand. Red-shouldered Hawks and Hooded Warblers both nest in the preserve. The site also contains some rare plants.
