Description: Join Indiana Project WET, WILD, and Learning Tree and DNR biologists as we discover the amazing amphibians that call Indiana their home, including state endangered species like the crawfish frog! Learn about conservation efforts to protect these vulnerable species, participate in activities that can be used in K-12 classes/educational programs, and explore the wetlands of Hillenbrand FWA on a guided tour to scout for calling crawfish frogs. All are welcome to register for this workshop; any attending educators will receive 4 PGP / CE points and activity resources for responsibly engaging their students with the wonders of Indiana’s amphibians. We will begin the workshop at the Goose Pond FWA Visitor Center and then caravan to Hillenbrand FWA for the field expedition as the frogs begin to call in the evening. Please dress for the weather and bring rubber boots/waders and a headlamp/flashlight if possible. Register here, or reach out to Lexi Eiler, Indiana Project Learning Tree Coordinator at [email protected] or 463-253-8835 for more information.
