Trail 7 is rated moderate, but should be considered rugged in the dark. The trail has some staircases, uneven surfaces, and muddy spots. It is 1.2 miles and will take about an hour and a half to complete. Please do not bring pets on night hikes. Red flashlights are preferred for night vision and can be loaned to hikers on request.
Hike cancellation policy:
Hikes will be cancelled if there is lightning, temperatures below 0 degrees Farenheit, temperature indexes above 105 degrees Farenheit, or a wind advisory. If a hike is cancelled, gatehouses will be informed. The phone number for the North Gatehouse is 812-988-5230.
