Celebrate National Hunting & Fishing Day and National Public Lands Day by helping Kankakee Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) prepare for waterfowl season at the 5^th Annual Dressing of the Blinds on Saturday, Sept. 25. This year, the Corn Unit blinds will be the focus of activity.

Volunteers will meet at the Kankakee FWA office at 9 a.m. CT to sign up for a blind to work on. Four or five people will be assigned to each blind, so bring a group to work together! Long pants and close-toed shoes are recommended. Volunteers should bring work gloves, a mask, and hand tools such as loppers. Please bring plenty of water and snacks or a lunch.
