Join Ducks Unlimited and the Division of Fish & Wildlife to learn how to get started duck hunting. We'll cover equipment, regulations, duck species ID, calling, decoy set up, and get to practice shooting at flying targets. The event is limited to participants 18 years or older.
Class size is limited - Please register to attend this free event. REGISTRATION IS FULL AS OF JUNE 28, 2024.
The class starts at Atterbury FWA headquarters at 9 a.m. ET. After we cover duck hunting information, we will drive over to the marsh to learn how to set up decoys, return to headquarters for lunch, and then drive to the shooting range to practice shooting flying targets. Lunch will be provided.
A portion of the class will be outside. Please dress appropriately for the weather and come prepared with insect repellant, sun protection, and the snacks or water you will need for the day.
All materials and equipment for the class will be provide, including safety equipment for shooting. Please wear closed-toed shoes, and do not wear low-cut tops.
