https://on.IN.gov/salamonielakeSalamonie Lake will offer an afternoon Eagle Watch Feb. 14, from 4:00 p.m. – dusk.
Participants will meet at the Upper Wabash Interpretive Center, located in Salamonie Lake’s Lost Bridge West SRA for a program about eagles and meet a live bird of prey. Then tour some of the areas where eagles are often viewed. Hotdogs and treats will be available for free will donation, sponsored by Friends of Upper Wabash Interpretive Services. Participants will meet a bird of prey from Salamonie Lake’s Raptor Center.
Upon arrival, participants may visit the interpretive center’s restrooms gift shop.
- Participants should dress for the weather; if available, bring binoculars, cameras, and spotting scopes.
- Shared visual aids will be available onsite.
- Be sure to have plenty of fuel in your gas tank. We will caravan.
- There will be some walking on flat surfaces. Those who need accessible parking should request it upon registration.
