Description:

This is the new Indiana Fire Chief Executive Training Program, which was developed by Indiana Fire and Public Safety Academy to assist recently hired or promoted Fire Chiefs of full-time, combination or volunteer fire departments. The course is a combination of three National Fire Academy courses that cover challenging Issues, administrative Issues, contemporary Issues and multiple topics beneficial to Fire Chiefs in Indiana. This is a five-day course, and students will learn from multiple instructors, elected leaders and Fire Chiefs throughout the state.

IC 36-8-10.6-3-9: After Jan. 1, 2022, a newly appointed fire chief of a political subdivision must successfully complete the executive training program within one (1) year of appointment.

Limited lodging available for fire chiefs who are from distances more than 50 miles away from Plainfield.
