Want to get into fishing, but walking down the hook aisle in Walmart is too overwhelming? Come learn the basics here at Deam Lake SRA! We’ll be discussing how different types of hooks/lines/rods are good for different kinds of fish, how to tie different kinds of knots, types of lures, safety tips, and some general information to get you started. It can be a lot, but it’s not rocket science! Come to the Nature Center at 3pm for a presentation, then go up to the point to put what you learned into practice! We will have 5 rods, artificial worm lures, and some hooks. Please bring your own equipment if possible. A valid fishing license is necessary for the secondary portion of the program. Weather permitting for the outdoors part; if there are storms (thunder, lightning and/or rain) in the area, the program will be canceled.
