Free Event

Join the Indiana DNR Nature Preserves and partners Indiana Native Plant Society and Mike and Barb Homoya for a free guided hike. Registration is limited to 12 persons. Parking for this hike is very limited, this site can only accommodate a maximum of 12 registered participants. Initial gathering will be off site and hikers will be shuttled to the Nature Preserve. Details will be emailed once registration is confirmed.

This preserve is noted for its rugged beauty and limited accessibility. Located near Taswell, this state nature preserve will delight hikers with its moist ravine bottoms, which are dominated by beeches and maples. Yellow birch and hemlock grow along the limestone bluffs. Several interesting plant species can be observed.

This hike will meet in Taswell and shuttle to the site.
