DESCRIPTION:During our one-day event\, anyone in need—not just the homeless
 \, but anyone struggling to access resources—can get help right on the spot
 . Homeless Connect isn’t a typical resource fair. Actual services are provi
 ded on-site that day. More than 70 vendors are hand-picked to provide a dir
 ect service at the event. These services include basic health screenings (i
 ncluding eye and dental exams)\, haircuts\, legal advice\, housing and fina
 ncial assistance\, tax preparation\, foreclosure mitigation\, re-entry serv
 ices\, veterans services\, childcare referrals\, parent resources\, public 
 assistance applications\, utility bill consultation\, birth certificates\, 
 employment services\, recovery groups\, internet access\, education service
 s and more.
