Two Hoosier Riverwatch trainings are being sponsored by the DNR Lake Michigan Coastal Program, IDEM, and Lake County Parks. Basic training will be held on Wednesday September 6th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. central time, and advanced E. coli on Thursday 7th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oak Ridge Prairie. Both classes will start at Oak Ridge Prairie for the classroom portion and will do water testing at nearby Ivan Gatlin Nature Preserve. Parking is available on site at both locations. Classes are open to 15 participants each and once a class is full no more registrations will be taken. If you are unable to attend this class, don't worry! Classes are being offered throughout Lake, Porter, and La Porte counties between August and October 2023. All classes are FREE!

Important Information:

• You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this class.
• Basic training is open to anyone.
• To take advanced training, you must have taken basic training previously. (You may take basic training on the 6th and do advanced training on the 7th).
• Please bring your own lunch
