About this Event
1600 N. 25 E., Chesterton, IN 46304http://on.IN.gov/indianadunessp
CANCELLED due to the continued investigation into sick and dying songbirds in Indiana. The DNR has ceased feeding wild birds statewide until the disease outbreak has concluded or more information is available. This includes feeding hummingbirds and therefore impacts the success of this program. Hummingbird banding is dependent on consistent activity at hummingbird feeders because that is where they are captured. If you have any additional questions please call the Nature Center at 219-926-1390.
To get the latest updates about songbird deaths or report a sick bird, visit on.IN.gov/songbirddeaths.
Fly over to the Nature Center this morning to experience these small flying jewels up-close with expert Allen Chartier. He will be catching, banding, and then releasing any birds that visit our Nature Center's feeders.
Interpretive programs are listed in the Central Time. Note that during peak visitation times, entry into our park might be delayed. Parking lots around the Nature Center can fill quickly. Please plan accordingly.
All our programs are free (unless otherwise noted) and open to the public after paying the park entrance fee.($7 in-state & $12 out-of-state)
Our interpretive programs are designed to entertain and enrich folks of all ages. Children under 12 must have an adult with them at programs.
