COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course will prepare emergency managers and staff to perform FEMA Individual/Public Assistance Damage Assessments. The course will also provide an overview of the Individual and Public Assistance Program.

The IA portion will be approximately 7.5 hours, and cover: Overview of the Recovery Process; FEMA Damage Assessments; USSBA Damage Assessments.

The PA portion will be approximately 15 hours, and cover: Overview of Public Assistance, Public Assistance Damage Assessments, Impact Statements, Public Assistance Request for Assistance Forms, Applications and Grants Portal.
