Participants in this training will receive detailed instruction covering environmental considerations required under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969 and others. Participants will also learn about various policies on work done for INDOT and FHWA. This course is one of the requirements to be prequalified for environmental work for INDOT projects. The NEPA Initial Training is broken into two courses. The first segment is an online course through INDOT University which is self paced and begins on September 28, 2021 through October 26, 2021. Completion of the online training is a prerequisite for the in-class course on October 28, 2021. *Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person portion of the training will be a two-hour Microsoft Teams webinar. Upon completion of both the online and in-class courses, participants will be certified in the INDOT NEPA project development process.
