INDIANAPOLIS — At 9:30 a.m. Friday, inmate Montez Beech (DOC #310623) was returned to custody after leaving Edinburgh Correctional Facility Thursday night.

Montez Beech was taken into custody by IDOC officers around 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 8. Beech was picked up from the minimum-security facility in Johnson County around 9:30 p.m. May 7 by a known associate who is now considered a person of interest.

Beech was serving time in the facility for auto theft after being convicted in March 2025 in Hamilton County.
