 on Sat.\, Sept. 22 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. ET at Pigeon River Fish & Wildli
 fe Area. Deer hunting is great activity to help you put wild game on your 
 table and practice your skills in the woods this fall. Whether you're new 
 to hunting or just geared up to try something different this season\, we l
 ook forward to seeing you!\n\nThis adults-oriented (16+) workshop will cov
 er basic deer biology\, how to hunt deer with a rifle from a ground blind\
 , gear selection\, safety\, regulations\, and ways to take your harvest fr
 om field to fork. While hunter education is not required for this workshop
 \, the content will build upon basic principles of hunter education. Prior
  certification in hunter education\, either in person or online is recomme
 nded. Find more information on online hunter education here.\n\nThe class 
 will consist of a 30 to 45-minute lecture followed by hands-on activities 
 to help solidify your deer hunting knowledge and practice skills you may u
 se in the field. Participants can expect a small amount of walking (up to 
 one mile). Pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended.\n\nPlease register 
 to attend this free workshop. Registration will open July 19. See you ther
 e!\n\nDNR values access for all participants and will provide reasonable a
