DESCRIPTION:Join us for this beginner duck hunting workshop on Sat.\, Oct.
 10 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET at Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area. Duck hunt
ing from the bank is a great way to put wild game on your table and practi
ce your skills in the marsh this fall or winter. Whether you're new to hun
ting or just geared up to try something different this season\, we look fo
rward to seeing you!\n\nThis adults-oriented (16+) workshop will cover bas
ic duck biology\, how to hunt ducks from the bank\, gear selection\, safet
y\, regulations\, and ways to take your harvest from field to fork (or fro
m the marsh to your mouth\, that is!). While hunter education is not requi
red for this workshop\, the content will build upon basic principles of hu
nter education. Prior certification in hunter education\, either in person
or online is recommended. Find more information on online hunter educatio
n here.\n\nThe class will consist of a 45 to 60-minute lecture followed by
hands-on activities to help solidify your duck hunting knowledge and prac
tice skills you may use in the field. Participants can expect a small amou
nt of walking (up to one mile). Pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended
.\n\nPlease register to attend this free workshop. Registration will open
Aug. 10. See you there!\n\nDNR values access for all participants and will
provide reasonable accommodation for this event. Please contact Branndon
Castellano at bcastellano@dnr.IN.gov or 317-519-0728 to request an accommo
