This workshop is the second workshop in a series of three Learn to Fish workshops at Fort Harrison State Park. Those who attended a basic Learn to Fish workshop will get priority admittance into the Learn to Fish with Lures on June 19 or July 17. This workshop is required to attend a Learn to Catch & Cook on Oct. 2. Those who are interested in attending this workshop but have not attended a previous workshop can email the naturalist at DAllison@DNR.IN.gov to be added to a waitlist. Instruction on fish biology, habitat, fishing regulations, and different types of lures and how to use them will be covered during this workshop. Basic fishing experience is needed. Children must be at least 6 years or older and accompanied by a related adult. Participants 18 and older must have a fishing license, which can be purchased in advance online at on.IN.gov/INhuntfish or a local retailer. All fishing equipment and lures will be provided. Workshop is free, but a $7/vehicle gate fee will be charged upon entry to the park.
