                              RELEASE: Lt. Governor Beckwith highlights Hoosier businesses at 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith joined thousands of entrepreneurs, manufacturers and industry leaders at the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianpolis this spotlighting the strength and spirit of Indiana's small businesses and the hardworking Hoosiers behind them.

"Indiana does a great job of not only encouraging Hoosiers to start their own company, but we also draw companies in from across the country," Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith said. "The expo was a great reminder that behind every sweet and salty snack is a team of dedicated people pouring their heart into their work. These are people driving our communities forward. They are innovators, risk-takers and problem-solvers."

During his visit, Lieutenant Governor Beckwith toured the show floor, met with Indiana-based exhibitors and particpated in discussions about innovation in the food and snack industry.

The expo, one of the largest of its kind in the nation, provided a powerful platform to showcase the products and people that make Indiana a leaders in smal lbusiness growth and tnrepreneurship.

Indiana is home to a growing number of small food manufacturers and specialty snack companies, many of which were represented at this yyear's event. Among the many vendors, South Bend Chocolate Company, Original Gourmet Lollipops, McFarland Family's Praline's Deluxe, Boikey's, Frittle Candy, Foods Alive, and Little Joey's Protein Snacks welecomed questions about how Indiana can better help their businesses grow int he next years.

"Events like the Sweets & Snacks Expo are important because they bring national attention to Indiana," Lieutenant Governor Beckwith said. "We'll continue doing everything we can at the state level to champion Hoosiers who are building something from the ground up."
