  for 2025 Golden Hoosier Award\n\nINDIANAPOLIS – Lieutenant Governor Mic
 ah Beckwith announced today that nominations are open for the 2025 Golden 
 Hoosier Award\, the state's highest honor recognizing senior citizens for 
 their lifetime of volunteer service to their communities. The deadline to 
 submit nominations is August 10\, 2025.\n\n"The Golden Hoosier Award celeb
 rates the quiet heroes among us - those who have spent decades giving back
 \, lifting others up and strengthening our communities\," Lieutenant Gover
 nor Micah Beckwith said. "I encourage Hoosiers across the state to nominat
 e someone whose selfless service deserves to be honored."\n\nPresented in 
 partnership with the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration\, t
 he award is open to current Indiana residents age 65 and older who have vo
 lunteered in their communities for the past three years or more.\n\nThe no
 mination form can be found at https://www.in.gov/lg/lt-governor-initiative
 s/golden-hoosier-award/ on the Lieutenant Governor's website. Once complet
 ed\, forms should be emailed to GoldenHoosiers@fssa.in.gov.\n\nIt should i
 nclude the nominator's contact information\, the nominee's details and a s
 ummary describing the nominee's service and impact.\n\nAward recipents wil
 l be honored at a special ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse in September 
 2025.\n\n
