Description:

This course focuses on best teaching and training practices and enhances understanding and application of instructor competencies developed by the International Board of Standards for Teaching, Performance, and Instruction (IBSTPI®). The IDW focuses on instructor development that emphasizes active learning and learner-centered instructional models. Course instructors model how to facilitate classroom discussions, assess learning and engage, motivate and encourage participants. Throughout the course, participants have opportunities to reflect on their development as instructors and to identify strategies that will make them better instructors.
