North Vernon Vet to Vet – Community Outreach Meetings 🇺🇸e North Vernon Vet to Vet hosts weekly Thursday night meetings at VFW Post 1925 in Seymour, Indiana. These meeting sare open to veterans, their families, and the public, and are designed to strengthen the connection between veterans and the communities they live in.

These meetings provide:                                                                                                                                                                                                        • Education –Increasing awareness of PTSD, trauma-related challenges, and the realities veterans and familiesface                                        • Resource Connection – Identifying and connecting veterans and families with available local,state, and community resources                    • Community Engagement – Building relationships betweenveterans, volunteers, businesses, and support organizations                              • Volunteer Development – Creatingopportunities for individuals and organizations to actively support veterans and their families            • Mission Awareness – Sharing the purpose and vision of North Vernon Vet to Vet and how thecommunity can be involved.

While these meetings are not peer support sessions, they do provide insight into how Vet-to-Vet peer support groups operate and how those efforts can be strengthened through community involvement. Our mission is to help veterans and their families build better lives, restore the warrior spirit, and bridge the gap between those who served and the communities they live in.

We welcome collaboration with the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs, local VSOs, community partners, and service providers as we continue working together to support veterans and their families.
