The Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP) is seeking public comment, including from Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) providers, members, and managed care entities (MCEs), on the 2021 quality strategy plan. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires that each state Medicaid agency, according to Code of Federal Regulations 42 CFR 438.340, develop and implement an annual quality strategy plan.

Indiana’s Medicaid plan for 2021:

• Includes the plan to assess MCE delivery of services
• Is built around continuous quality improvement (CQI)
• Establishes quality committees

The OMPP quality strategy plan for 2021 called, Indiana Medicaid Managed Care Quality Strategy Plan 2021, is available on the Quality and Outcomes Reporting web page at in.gov/fssa/ompp.
