Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) representatives are participating in an Open Forum with representatives from the Johnson County Assessor’s Office on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. at the Clark Pleasant Branch – Johnson County Public Library. The event was coordinated by the Town of Whiteland and Representative Michele Davis, District 58. The public is invited to attend.

Discussion topics will include:

• Understanding your home and auto insurance policies and claim tips
• Consumer steps to resolving insurance problems
• Eligibility for a property tax reassessment
• Questions or concerns related to the tornado

The IDOI works to educate and safeguard consumers against unlawful insurance practices. Consumers can contact the IDOI Consumer Services Division for assistance with insurance inquiries, or complaints about health, life, auto, and property and casualty insurance policies.
