About this Event
The DNR Division of Water will be discussing Permitting Development in Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) during a two-hour webinar on Thursday, November 18 at 2 p.m. ET and Tuesday, November 30 at 9 a.m. & 2 p.m. ET.
A special live-stream event will be held on December 7 at 9 a.m. ET. This event will have the option of in-person attendance. To attend in person, you must register in advance because in-person attendance is limited to the first 35 registrants; you may also register to virtually attend this session. The in-person event will be held in conference room 22, Indiana Government Center South Conference Area in Indianapolis.
This workshop will discuss the proper permitting procedures and requirements for development in SFHAs. We will also review and work through practical examples during the allotted time. The workshop is open to all who wish to attend; however, surveyors, engineers, local floodplain administrators, or any others who work with local permitting and inspections are strongly encouraged to attend. There is no fee for the webinar, streamed, or in-person events; however, registration is required to ensure you receive the materials. You can register for the workshop here: Permitting Development
