http://on.IN.gov/potatocreekThis is a shooting star event that marks the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower. A telescope for deep sky viewing and constellation talks will be set-up along the lawn next to our Beach. Park on the east side of our Beach Parking Lot and walk the sidewalk past the restrooms to our station. Bring a chair, towel, bug spray and flashlights and enjoy these spectacular views from our beach. This program is weather-dependent. Check the park’s Facebook page for updates.
Our interpretive programs are designed to entertain and enrich folks of all ages. Children under 12 must have an adult with them at programs.
Registration is not required for this program.
All our programs are free (unless otherwise noted). They are open to the public after paying the park entrance fee. ($7 in-state & $9 out-of-state)

The Nature Center's Current Summer Hours: Open Daily 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET
*Note that during peak visitation times, entry into our park might be delayed. Parking lots around the Nature Center can fill quickly. The Nature Center is located approximately 10 minutes from our park’s main entrance gate. Please plan accordingly.*
