https://on.in.gov/fallsoftheohiospWhat is plastic pollution? Why is there so much of it? What can we do about it? The Falls of the Ohio State Park is an excellent story-telling opportunity for the journey of plastics in our environment. So much comes from upriver pollution that gets stuck here when the water drops. We will discuss the production and aims of plastics - a material that we created to be robust and not degrade – and how this impacts its pollution in our environment. It’s long-term future impacts and clever ways that nature is dealing with this in the environment will be covered. This presentation is by naturalist and marine biologist, Dr. Dominique McCowan is free but doesn’t include visiting the exhibit gallery.
