The combination of art and nature allows for people to see the beauty in the places they live, build a sense of connection and pride in their community, and make Indiana a great place to live and work.The annual Ripley County Plein Air Paint Out does all of this and more. The program invites artists from throughout the state to paint scenery of Versailles State Park and enter their painting in a competition to win cash prizes. This event is a chance for artists to practice their skills, get paid for their work, spend some time in one of Indiana's many beautiful state parks, and network with other artists.
