Join archaeologists from Purdue University Fort Wayne as they work to excavate artifacts along the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Interpretive Trail (adjacent to the Nature Center lawn). Stop by the excavation site any time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to learn what an archaeologist does and to see artifacts on display. Participants can even try their hand at screening for artifacts in the field!

The project is funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Dept. of the Interior, National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Fund which is administered by the Indiana Dept. of Natural Resources- Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology.
