DESCRIPTION:This course trains Primary Screeners to employ a Human-Portable
  Radiation Detector (Backpack) to detect and verify radiation alarms\, loc
 alize the radiation source\, measure detected radioactive material\, and a
 djudicate alarms. These activities will be performed as they pertain to ra
 diation alarms detected in/or on people\, vehicles\, packages\, and/or fac
 ilities. Training will be accomplished using an assigned Backpack and a va
 riety of sealed radioactive sources (SRS) in the learning activities (dril
 ls).\n\nThis is a dual registration course. Students must register with CT
 OS using the QR code on the course flyer to receive pre-course corresponde
 nce with instructors and credit for this course.
