About this Event
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources proposes the use of federal and state funds to acquire the remaining ½ fee title interest in 364 acres known as Coffee Bayou Nature Preserve in Gibson County. The DNR acquired ½ interest in the property in 2002 and now plans to purchase the other ½ interest from a private entity. Full ownership of the property will ensure protection of high-quality forest habitat along a riparian corridor in southwest Indiana.
The Division of Fish & Wildlife wishes to solicit comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural, and historical resources.
