About this Event
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is proposing the use of federal and state funds to modify the deeds to most of Chinook Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) and Crosley FWA to add Wildlife Restoration Program protections to the property. This will allow the appraised value of these properties to be leveraged as in-kind match for future land acquisitions funded by the Wildlife Restoration Program. This is not expected to impact on-the-ground management at these FWAs and affords them increased protections from development.
The Division of Fish & Wildlife wishes to solicit comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural, and historical resources.
