PUBLIC NOTICE: Wildlife Restoration Program protections placed on FWA’s

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is proposing the use of federal and state funds to modify the deeds to most of Chinook Fish & Wildlife Area (FWA) and Crosley FWA to add Wildlife Restoration Program protections to the property. This will allow the appraised value of these properties to be leveraged as in-kind match for future land acquisitions funded by the Wildlife Restoration Program. This is not expected to impact on-the-ground management at these FWAs and affords them increased protections from development.

The Division of Fish & Wildlife wishes to solicit comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural, and historical resources.
