The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is proposing the use of federal and third-party funds to help renovate the Wells County Conservation and Gun Club’s shooting range. This will increase the club’s impact on the community by supporting the shooting range’s ability to effectively serve a growing population of new and experienced recreational shooters. The scope of work includes the purchase of new throwing equipment and other equipment designed to expand shotgun range participant capacity without changing the footprint of the existing shotgun range area; and, paving the existing gravel parking area and removing tree limbs that pose a risk to participants using the parking lot.
The Division of Fish & Wildlife wishes to solicit comments about any potential impacts to environmental, cultural, and historical resources.
