 th environmental gold award\n\nINDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of 
 Environmental Management (IDEM) presented Pull-A-Part located at 2505 N Pr
 oducers Lane\, Indianapolis\, with their seventh Indiana Clean Yard-Gold L
 evel award in recognition of the company’s efforts to protect the enviro
 nment. Hani Sharaya\, IDEM Senior Environmental Engineer\, presented a com
 memorative certificate to Pull-A-Part's Gabriel Boateng and Steve Jones\, 
 during a site visit on July 27.\n\nSalvage yards receive and store wrecked
  vehicles containing antifreeze\, gasoline\, oil\, brake fluid\, transmiss
 ion fluid\, batteries\, mercury switches\, and tires. If not managed prope
 rly\, wrecked vehicles stockpiled in salvage yards can pose an environment
 al threat. IDEM is committed to helping auto salvage recyclers ensure envi
 ronmental protection.\n\nIDEM has partnered with Automotive Recyclers of I
 ndiana\, Inc. (ARI) to develop the "Indiana Clean Yard" recognition progra
 m to reward auto salvage yard operators who meet two different levels of r
 equirements: “Indiana Clean Yard” and “Indiana Clean Yard – Gold L
 evel.”\n\nAll Hoosier businesses\, including auto salvage recyclers\, ca
 n obtain free\, confidential compliance assistance and request confidentia
 l site visits by contacting IDEM’s Office of Compliance and Technical As
